The iPhone 16 series won’t be released for at least five months, but some of the features have already leaked, and as the debut date approaches, more information will probably surface in the weeks or months to come. Although Apple hasn’t officially announced the launch date, it will probably happen in September, like it does each year. The unexpected aspect is that the prices have already been made public online, however proceed with caution as prices typically leak ten or more times in advance of an event from various sources.
iPhone 16 series:
Chipset, display, design, and other details leaked.Let’s start by examining the 2024 iPhone design leaks. It is anticipated that Apple will alter the iPhone 16 series‘ design in some way. According to several recent reports, the normal iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will feature new rear camera layouts with vertical alignment.

For a physical response, the button will feature haptic feedback technology. In addition, the USB Type-C port shown on the models from the previous year is probably going to be included in the 2024 iPhones.
There have been rumors of larger screens for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max variants. The Pro is said to have a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro Max is expected to have a larger 6.9-inch canvas. But this also makes me wonder if using it one-handedly with these larger size is still feasible. Screen sizes for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are probably going to stay the same, but there’s still a chance that the basic iPhone 16 will get a 120Hz refresh rate.
There are rumors that the iPhone 16 Pro series will launch with the cutting-edge A18 Pro chipsets, but the chipset configurations of the basic versions remain unclear. Though specifics are still lacking, rumors point to a tweaked A17 chip for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. Notably, Apple may include graphene in Pro versions as well for improved heat management when doing demanding activities.
There is little information currently available about the camera advancements that will be included in the iPhone 16 series. According to reports, the Pro versions may have an upgraded 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens for enhanced low-light photography. A 5x Telephoto lens may also be included with both variants.
Additionally, it is once more rumored that Apple plans to expand the device’s battery capacity. The iPhone 16 Plus might come with a 4,006mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 might have a larger 3,561mAh battery. It is anticipated that the iPhone 16 Pro Max would have a 4,676mAh battery. Since Apple’s 20W support is far less than what other phones are offering, I’m hoping that the company will finally decide to support quicker charging.
Price leaks for the iPhone 16 series:
The iPhone 16 SE Plus may retail for $799 (about Rs 66,000) for the 256GB model, while tipster Majin Bu recently revealed on X that there would also be an iPhone 16 SE model. The 128GB model may start at $699 (about Rs 58,000). While the 256GB models of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to cost $999 (about Rs 83,000) and $1099 (nearly Rs 91,000), respectively, the vanilla iPhone 16 with 256GB storage is expected to retail for $699. Remember that costs in India are greater than in the US market.
